A small studio, engineering software that has to keep running.
Life & Brain GmbH is an engineering studio based in Germany, working with research groups, healthcare organizations, and industrial teams on the systems that carry their most important work.
Our story
We started in 2014 with a simple observation: the most interesting engineering problems live between disciplines, and the teams closest to those problems rarely have the software to match.
Over the years we have built platforms for genomics groups, digital health scale-ups, clinical study teams, and industrial research units. The domains change; the engineering standard does not.
Today we are a deliberately mid-sized studio of senior engineers, scientists, and platform architects — small enough to stay coherent, large enough to ship serious systems.
